  • For all ice core samples curated by the NSF-ICF a unique sibling IGSN will be derived.
  • Projects with samples not curated by the NSF-ICF are encouraged to follow the same naming scheme.
  • When NSF-ICF provides ice core samples to the scientific community, these samples will be accompanied by a unique IGSN number.
  • Once all Ice core measurements data become publicly available with these unique IGSN numbers for every Ice core sample the entire data archive will be available automatically for every ice core.
